Time for yourself was first of all a revelation. Moments of happiness. Family moments. Moments with friends. Quality time. Time to relax, breathe, refocus. Time to enjoy the present moment. Time to live. Choose yourself. Time for yourself.

I don't know if this resonates with you, but it made perfect sense to me...

Then, as if it were obvious, it became the culmination and realization of an old dream. Without warning. I must admit - unsurprisingly - I have wanted since university (or even before, as soon as I learned to draw) that my illustrations could be “useful”. Be “useful”. And I dreamed of a line of paper products. But to what end?

In recent times, “Time for yourself” by becoming a philosophy of life, has quite naturally become a new business. My graphics, by a happy coincidence, could serve a noble purpose. My sketches could be used to have time for yourself!

How ? One summer evening, when my lifelong accomplice couldn't find any illustrations of interest to color in her notebooks - an activity she particularly likes to decompress and relax after a long day of work - I went to get my tablet digital and I began to produce softer, more sensitive sketches to appease him. So she can stop and take some time for herself. At that time, I was drawing sketches so that she could have illustrations to color that would do her good... without knowing or being able to imagine the scale that this project would take. And over the weeks and sketches, without realizing it, the idea germinated. Has developed. She suggested themes, pencil lines, types of sketches, angles of view... and I suggested images, shades and different possibilities. Naturally. Then it was obvious to both of us. My digital illustrations could be useful to other people. They could be used to create coloring books for adults. With themes that were dear to us. Antiques, seasides, flowers, gardens and tea. Or roses, old England and its vintage memories.

Armed with my creativity, my digital stylus and the expert eye of my better half, we began to produce – for ourselves and simply for pleasure – thematic collections of illustrations. Like any good business, the idea was born to meet a need that we ourselves had. We need some downtime. And that’s how we started creating illustrations that we wanted to be soft, peaceful and sensitive. Created with the sole aim of stopping, decompressing, freeing yourself from the stress and anxiety of the hubbub of daily life. We only chose sketches that felt good. We are free to admire them, color them, scribble them. In any case, they allowed us to achieve our ideal: being able to take time for ourselves. The basis of the collection was born. The basis of a new business was born. A new project, sensitive, paper-based and creative, was born!

This is how a new subsidiary of Productions du 3 Juin was officially founded last September: a gift from P3J for my 50th birthday... the realization of one of my old unspoken dreams! And we naturally called it “Time for yourself”. A line of paper products, under the signature of my digital illustrations. And when the name was legally assigned to us by the Quebec Business Register, it was as if for us, it had always existed! Time for yourself. Everything made sense.

But more than anything, I want to bring a community together around this idea. From this approach of time for yourself. To share and discuss on the subject. Inspire each other. NOTRE HISTOIRE

Nous sommes artisans d'objets exclusifs fait main et créateurs de beauté. Nos matières : résine, fleurs et papier. Nous sommes fans de tout ce qui est victorien, Steampunk, un peu British ou ayant des tons de l'Angleterre ou de la Provence... Tout comme nous sommes très inspirés par notre cher Québec et l'Ile d'Orléans. Nous aimons le beau !

Du temps pour soi est notre atelier et notre espace artisan. Mais il fut tout d’abord une révélation. Des moments de bonheur. Des moments en famille. Des moments entre amis.

C'est tout cela qu'il y a dans nos objets en résine ou notre papeterie. Du temps de qualité. Du temp pour relaxer, respirer, se recentrer. Du temps pour profiter du moment présent. Du temps pour vivre. Se choisir. Du temps pour soi. Je ne sais pas si cela résonne pour vous, mais cela prenait tout son sens pour nous et notre équipe...

Et c’est ainsi qu’une nouvelle filiale de Productions du 3 juin a été fondée officiellement en septembre dernier : un cadeau de P3J pour mes 50 ans... la réalisation d’un vieux rêve inavoué ! Et nous l’avons dénommé tout naturellement “Du temps pour soi”. Une ligne de produits papiers de papeterie et d'objets en résine époxy, sous la griffe de mes illustrations numériques et des tableaux de fleurs de ma complice. Et lorsque le nom nous a été légalement attribué par le Registre des entreprises du Québec, c’est comme si pour nous, cela avait toujours existé ! Du temps pour soi. Tout prenait son sens.

Plus que tout, notre trio souhaite rassembler une communauté autour de cette idée. De cette approche de temps pour soi. Pour partager et échanger sur le sujet. S’inspirer mutuellement. Nous serons heureux de vous entendre sur le sujet.
